The Bosch RA1161 is the fixed base for use with the Bosch 1617 and 1618 series routers and has a distinctive look with its classic wood handles. This fixed base features linear depth adjustment, which allows the bit to stay in a consistent horizontal position relative the subbase and allows consistent guidance. When its subbase is removed, the RA1161 can be mounted to virtually any table surface and common router table plates. In fact, the RA1161 includes hardware for mounting to router table and an T-wrench for adjusting the depth from above the table.

It features a trigger-controlled power switch in the right handle, so you don't have to reach up to a switch on the motor to turn the tool on and off. The motor is held by the base using the Bosch-invented router quick-clamp system, allowing tool-free movement of motor from base to base. The MRF01 fixed base features a versatile depth adjustment that allows for easy macro- and micro-fine adjustment with a 1-5/8” continuous micro-fine adjustment range. It also features the Bosch Precision Centering Design that allows the subbase to be centered around the bit, which makes it easy to keep the bit on intended cut line when using jigjigs, templets, dovetail fixtures and similar guidance devices. This base also has threaded holes positioned in common 3-hole pattern for mounting to a router table. Moreover, it features the ability to adjust the depth from above an optional router table using the included T-wrench, so there is no need to buy an expensive after-market router lift. Hardware for mounting to an optional router table is also included. The MRF01 fixed base accepts several different Bosch routing attachments, including the RA1126 Tool-free Templet Guide Adapter, RA1054 Deluxe Router Guide and RA1176AT Dust Hood Kit.
